Steampunk? Surrealism? Sounds to me like you’re a really cool Mom one who knows who she is and your kids are really lucky to have you. My Mother was my biggest artistic advocate and we’d often go to artshows and even rock concerts together. She loved Metallica!

I would imagine that your blog is a great way to vent about rudeness -- there's so darned much of it out there!!!! -- so don't promise that this will be the last vent. I loved the story of how the couple sat on EITHER side of the rude man and proceeded to talk over him. I really like your art - quirky, dramatic, technically amazing. I don't really care to know who the fellow was who called your work ugly, but I bet his work doesn't have anywhere near the imagination or mastery of your art. By the way, I suspect I'm not in the usual demographic for your art. I teach high-school art and I'm a staid middle-aged woman who happens to love the unusual - my kids and I went to a recent Steampunk show and I adore Surrealism. I really like your art – quirky, dramatic, technically amazing.
