The Community Investment Program provides funding to arts and festival organizations in the City of Edmonton from the municipal tax base. The EAC is guided by City Policy C211 on Community Investment Grants. All grants are allocated based on recommendations from peer juries who provide their valuable expertise on a volunteer basis.

Calgary Arts Development is responsible for the investment of municipal funding for the arts through grant programs to support operating costs and special projects for arts organizations and artists in Calgary. This program has been significantly revised after an 18-month renewal process and community consultation.
